Situated in the heart of Scotland’s newest city, Stirling, the Adamo Stirling could not get much more central. Stirling itself is at the hub of Scottish history, as Stirlingshire is a historically strategic region that divides the Scottish Lowlands from the Scottish Highlands.
The Most Stylish Abode in Stirling
Book Ahead
There are only six rooms, all up on the second floor above the restaurant, so booking ahead is a good idea. They are all stylishly decorated along sleek modern lines. Steering on the right side of minimalism they have enough warmth to make them feel homely too. Crisp white cotton sheets, dark woods and flat screen TVs complete the look with decent toiletries and a welcoming tea tray.
Slick Dining Experience
There is not much in the way of facilities at the hotel, but of course you have Stirling and all of its attractions right on your doorstep. For business guests there are a range of meeting rooms on the lower level with a separate entrance ensuring a dash of privacy. The bar is a great place to relax in during the day with complimentary newspapers. A pianist often tinkles the ivory in the evenings.
Plenty To Do in Stirling
Stirling is one seriously underrated city. The castle is surely up there with its Edinburgh sibling and definitely boasts the more impressive views out across the Trossachs and the Ochils and as far as the Pentlands. Tumbling down from the castle the Old Town is replete with graceful historic buildings and attractions of its own, not to mention a sprinkling of cafes and bars.
The centre of Stirling meanwhile is these days a pedestrianised oasis with plenty of opportunities for retail addicts to melt their credit cards. Outside the city the Wallace Monument and the famous battlefield at Bannockburn demand attention, each offering an intriguing insight into their respective local heroes of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce.
